Colors of the Ocean 〜〜〜

As i swam through the saltwater ocean of the Islands i could hear my feet kicking as fast as a propeller i saw rainbow fish surrounding around meI went past a place that my mum used to put shells to tell me the boundary.I remembered me being younger like 3 and swimming everyday before i moved to Auckland. The fish that swam around here were all kinds of colors black, white, purple, yellow even rainbow. My family that came with me were at our are(word means house)making some food. As i glided through i relaxed gracefully on my back. Our house didn't have windows we had to put gigantic banana leaves for a roof because we didn't have tiles for roofing. We would get lots of leaks but we didn't mind. Most of my family was dead and i didnt even know if any of my family was even in the Cook Islands. I went to our old house and it was all damp and old. As i walked in i found my favorite pāreu.to wear at church and everywhere. I was so happy and remembered the good old times about and remembered myself when i had lost mypāreu.first time. Finally i had that feeling that said that i'm happy to be home. The next morning at sunrise me and my dad had gone out on a boat to go fishing. My mum or brothers didn't even know that we had gone out. Me and my dad had always wanted to do this but my brother would always wake up and then not go back to sleep. This is going to be fun i said.

Blog Post Week 3 Trm 4 2018

My Marae Sleepover Blog Post

The highlight of my week was...
Being able to go to Hoani Waititi Marae because we got to learn new things about the carvings that were there on the wall of the marae and some of the maraes history and we also got to go for a sleepover with my classroom rm 23.

It was difficult when I...
Had to try to go to sleep because i was sleeping in front of the exit sign and it was very bright and kids didn't go to sleep untill midnight because they would keep on talking and saying it was to hot and they couldent sleep because they were uncomftable.

It was helpful when...
Wheua Teena helped me tidy up in the morning of the marae trip because my sleeping bag was super big and it had to fit into this medium sized bag.

Now I am able to know...
Some of the history behind Hoani Waititi Marae because we learnt a lot of things there on our sleepover trip.

Next week I would like to..
research some more of Hoani Waititi Marae history because the information that I found out was so amazing and I can't wait to go back to the marae.
