Our Cross Country for 2019
Before School
Today was our Oratia District School Cross Country and some of my class were happy and some of them wernt some of them were pumped and some were like meh. This morning I asked Miss Jackson if she could print out the Cross Country timetable out so I could see when we were going and also when my Mum could come and watch and not have to stay for the whole time. The timetable showed us that the joniors would be going straight after the roll and then then middle school would be going after morning tea and then the senor school (thats me and my other friends) would be going and then we finish before lunch.
After the Roll
After Morning Tea
We lined up outside our classroom and we were all ready for our cross country. As we made our way to the field all of us seniors sat down on the grass. Then Mr Loten told us to get tnto ourage groups and then we wnet and sat down on the tarpolen and waited for our turn. As soon as I heard the Bang of the clappers I finally knew that the race had began and I was getting exited. As timed flyed by I heard 8 year old girls,8 year old boys,9 year old girls,9 year old boys,10 year old girls and then finally 10 year old boys! As we were getting ready already on the field I could se my Mum waving out to me and saying good luck. Then the moment came. Mr Loten said take your marks.....BANNGGGG and i was off. I was running as fast as I could and I was not at the fround or the back but in the middle of the pack. This is a photo of me on my 3rd lap.
After I Finished My 3 Laps
I was exsusted but I felt like doing the Cross Country again. I felt as hot as the sun when I finished because I forgot my hat and it was boling hot. When Mr Loten finished talking to us and sent us off and i went and cuddled my Mum and my Nana and said to both of them thank you for coming. Then i went back into the crowd of hot bodies and maybe stinky bodies I finally relised that the Cross Country had finished. That was the best and last Cross Country Ever!!!!
Hi Kaitanu, I really like how you put in labels. Maybe next time you could.... I don't know! This was a really good blog post and I don't have any negative feedback. I also like how you included pictures, and detail. I also like your wrap up. Great work!
